The Vintage Camper Chronicles: Packing, In Packing, Packing again and yep... you guessed it unpacking

Greetings, fellow vintage enthusiasts! Join us for a delightful escapade as we delve into the whimsical world of packing our charming boutique on our trusty old camper for a one-day market at the groovy Hip To The Groove. Prepare for laughter, nostalgia, and a newfound appreciation for modern-day marvels like backup cameras!

Our tale begins with a sunny morning, the air filled with excitement and a hint of adventure. As we set out to conquer the day, our beloved vintage camper stood proudly, ready to be transformed into a mobile boutique. Little did we know what awaited us on this magical journey of packing, unpacking, and setting up shop.

Step one: Packing the Hip Boutique on Wheels. Armed with our vintage wares, clothing racks, and an assortment of treasures, we approached our dear camper with a mix of excitement and trepidation. The challenge? Fitting our entire boutique into a limited space without invoking the wrath of gravity.

Like a game of fashion-forward Tetris, we maneuvered, twisted, and turned, trying to squeeze every last item into our mobile haven. With each attempt, we discovered that our camper had a mind of its own, reconfiguring the space at will. Dresses danced with vintage hats, while shoes mingled with retro records, forming a delightful, albeit chaotic, collage of fashion and nostalgia.

Step two: Unpacking, Reorganizing, and the Art of Patience. Arriving at the Finders Keeper Vintage Market, we embraced the glorious chaos of unloading our vintage haven. Each item seemed to have taken on a life of its own during the journey, thankfully the necklaces ,  and accessories weren't a tangled mess!

With determination and a healthy dose of laughter, we sent the unruly maze of clothing racks, gently coaxing them back into shape. Our vintage treasures whispered their stories as we arranged them, transforming chaos into art.... ok that may be a bit dramatic but, it is a lot of work to get done in about an hour!

Step 3: Wait for the gates to open and the shoppers to converge. The early bird shoppers arrive and usually walk around as fast as they can, checking the whole scene out, then come back to their favorites vendors.

Our shoppers love the camper and always want to take a peek inside or have a wonderful story about how they once traveled across the country with 10 people in their similar canned ham.

Our first market went well but we were in a different location from the past few years and it just wasn't the same. But we had a great time and the multiple food trucks near by were calling our names.

Ah, the cruel irony of a rumbling stomach and a bustling vintage market! Stone fired pizza it is oh and the freeze dried candies....what the heck are these? Can they take the sugar out too?

As the Finders Keeper Market drew to a close, we found ourselves in a hilarious predicament. Eager to pack up our boutique and head home, we discovered our neighbors in distress. Oh, the comedy of errors! Their hitch had somehow become inseparable from the stubborn ground, as if they had unintentionally embarked on an impromptu gardening project. We gathered around, our exhaustion morphing into amusement as we brainstormed wild ideas to free the trapped hitch. Should we recruit a team of synchronized weightlifters or call upon the mystical powers of a genie? Alas, patience prevailed as we watched the sun set, sipping lukewarm beverages and exchanging ridiculous stories. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the hitch surrendered, allowing our neighbors to bid farewell to the earth's grasp. With laughter echoing through the parking lot, we packed up our boutique, knowing that no matter the challenges we faced, our adventures would always come with a side of unexpected mirth.

As we wearily unloaded our belongings back at Hip, our vintage haven, exhaustion had settled upon our shoulders like a heavy shawl. The day had been filled with excitement and laughter, but now our energy was dwindling. Just as we contemplated the Herculean task ahead, a ray of kindness appeared in the form of a nice stranger strolling by. With a twinkle in their eye and a spring in their step, they offered a helping hand without hesitation. Their youthful vigor was a stark contrast to our worn-out bones, and we gladly accepted their assistance. Together, we effortlessly lifted blue ikea bags, and marveled at the serendipity of the encounter. In that moment, the stranger became an angel, alleviating our fatigue and reminding us that kindness transcends age and weariness.

We stood amidst the chaos of disassembled displays and a scattered clothing, the daunting task of putting our store back together loomed before us. Thoughts of exhaustion and sore muscles started to settle in when Lori, intervened with a mischievous glimmer in her eyes. "Leave it to me," she declared, a hint of excitement in her voice. Knowing Lori's knack for organization and her incredible ability to work her magic, I reluctantly agreed. With a nod and a sly smile, she shooed me away, reminding me of the hour-long drive that awaited. Relieved and filled with anticipation, I left Lori to work her sorcery. Little did we know that by the time I returned, the boutique would be transformed into a whimsical wonderland, with clothes hung meticulously and jewelry arranged in eye-catching displays. Lori had indeed worked her magic, turning chaos into order.
